The subject of the competition is the historic “Jagdhaus Kissel” and the former excursion restaurant including the company holiday home “Am Kissel” including the surrounding open spaces. The competition area is in Bad Salzungen, in the Waldfisch district Thuringian Forest and has a size of approx. 1.8 hectares. The aim of the owner, ThüringenForst, is to revalue, revitalize and develop the ensemble into a tourist location with a special profile as a seminar hotel. This requires the Renovation of the historic hunting lodge, which is a listed building, as well as the modernization and conversion of the former restaurant and hotel, including the upgrading and design of the surrounding open spaces.
