The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is responsible for air rescue. After re-planning the air rescue locations under the leadership of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Sport, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is located south of the state capital Schwerin in the municipality Pampow (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) to build an air rescue location with a so-called dual-use helicopter (hereinafter “RTH”) in 24-hour operation. After a successful award process, the first placed airline should be awarded the concession for the construction and operation of the air rescue location will be granted.
