Automation of laser-based contact optimization and subsequent IV characterization
The Institute for Solarenergief Research GmbH (ISFH) will renew its system park for the production of silicon olar cells for single junction and tandem applications. The delivery is advertisedan automation unit for the highly precise transport of solar cells to a laser-based contact optimization (LECO Integration tool of the CE Cell Engineering GmbH company, insertion by the ISFH) and then for a system for IV characterization (side position by the ISFH) in oneAttachment. The highest positional accuracy is required to contact the solar cells. Optionally, the solar cells are sorted according to Guete after characterization. Automation can process silicon wafers with an edge of the edge of 182 mm up to 230 mm, butalso so -called Schindels solar cells (stripes). On the one hand, the unit to be abolished should be similar to an industrial mass production system, for example in new TopCon cell factories, on the other hand, as flexible as possible in order to be able to map the R&D character of a research institute. TheISFH typically processes solar cells in batch sizes of 300 wafers with around 3 - 10 batches per day. The throughput of the system should be at least 500 wafer/h. The system is switched off overnight and on weekends.
