Assignment Description
The Government of Guinea Bissau (GoGB) intends to introduce private sector participation through a sale of shares of the state-owned GuineTelecom and its mobile subsidiary GuineTel. To that end, the government wishes to competitively select a private telecom Operator who would acquire 80% of the shares of GuineTelecom and GuineTel (the Project).
IFC is soliciting expressions of interest (EOI) from Auditing Consulting Firms specialized in the investment climate in Guinea Bissau, including accounting, audit and valuation of assets, (the Consultant). The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge of the ECOWAS region and the financial and taxation requirements in OHADA countries in particular, as well as privatizations.
The Consultant will support IFC in the implementation of the Project in 2 phases: phase 1 would cover due diligence and structuring as well as the prequalification of investors and phase 2 will involve the tender of the transaction, competitive dialog up to closing of the transaction.
The Consultant will work in collaboration with other IFC-hired consultants (legal, technical and communication) and will be part of the IFCs transaction team.
Firm requirements
IFC invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing their services by submitting a response in French to this Request for Expression of Interest (REoI). Following the completion of the EOI stage, the detailed Terms of Reference and other relevant information will be provided to the shortlisted candidates.
