The tender in question is part of the system of financing, management and control of the Common Agricultural Policy and is governed by Regulation (EU) 2021/2116 of the European Parliament and of the Council, laying down provisions on the financing, management and monitoring of the CAP. In particular, Article 12 of the aforementioned Regulation provides that each Member State designates an independent certification body responsible for verifying the reliability of the paying agencies' accounts and the correct functioning of the management and control related to expenditure financed by the EAGF and EAFRD funds.
