On behalf of the cooperation client Jeetzeldeichverband (JDV) and NLWKN, the NLWKN intends to provide the planning services (engineering services) for the subsequent increase in flood protection in the city of Hitzacker (Elbe) as well as the environmental and nature conservation services required as a result to award. The flood protection system consists of a partially mobile flood protection wall (owner and operator: JDV), a sluice structure and a pumping station (owner: State of Lower Saxony, represented by the NLWKN). A flood protection concept for the subsequent increase is already in place and forms the basis for further planning. As part of this negotiation process, service phases 1 to 4 and optionally service phases 5 to 8 are to be awarded.
