Tenders are invited for ACQUISITION OF IMMUNIZATION AND MONITORING EQUIPMENT ON BEHALF OF THE ACCOUNT NIGER MILLENNIUM CHALLENGE (MCA-NIGER) IN TWO (2) LOTS.
The United States of America, Acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation ("MCC") and the Government of the Republic of Niger (the "Government") have signed:
i) a grant agreement of approximately $ 9.8 million US in the development of the Compact ("609g Agreement")
ii) a Millennium Challenge Account Compact of approximately US $ 437 million (the "Compact") to promote poverty reduction and economic growth in Niger.
The two financing agreements are jointly referred to as ("MCC Funding")
The Government, through the Millennium Challenge Account Niger (MCA-Niger), intends to use a portion of the MCC Funding to eligible payments under the contract for which this Tender ("AO") is being issued. All payments made by MCA-Niger pursuant to the proposed contract will be subject, in all respects, to the terms of Agreement 609g, the Compact and related documents, including restrictions on the use of MCC Funding and its disbursement conditions. No party other than the Government and MCA-Niger will obtain any right under the 609g Agreement and the Compact or will have any rights in relation to the amounts of the MCC Funding. The Compact and its associated documents can be found on the MCC website (www.mcc.gov) and on the MCA-Niger website.
The Compact Program includes the following two projects:
1. The Irrigation and Market Access project, which aims to increase rural incomes through improved agricultural productivity and increased agricultural productivity. sales from agricultural irrigation modernization and flood management systems, ensuring sufficient access to various existing sectors and markets.
