SuedOstLink is a network expansion project that is planned as an underground cable connection by the two transmission system operators TenneT TSO GmbH and 50Hertz GmbH and is being implemented with a voltage level of 525 KV (direct voltage). The federal government has decided on the need for SuedOstLink and in Federal Requirements Plan Act stipulated as projects V5 and V5a. Project V5 runs between Wolmirstedt in Saxony-Anhalt and ISAR near Landshut. It was passed by the Bundestag in 2015 and included in the Federal Requirements Plan Act with a transmission capacity of 2 gigawatts. To the additional To cover transmission requirements of a further 2 gigawatts, the V5a project is being implemented from Klein Rogahn to ISAR near Landshut. When the amendment came into force in March 2021, Project 5a was included in the Federal Requirements Plan Act. Responsible from Klein Rogahn to the Thuringia-Bavaria border the transmission system operator 50Hertz takes over the line. In Bavaria, TenneT is planning and building the line from Muenchenreuth, in the Hof district, to the ISAR network connection point in the Landshut district. In Bavaria, SuedOstLink is divided into the individual sections C1 (Muenchenreuth to Marktredwitz), C2 (Marktredwitz to Pfreimd), D1 (Pfreimd to Nittenau), D2 (Nittenau to Pfatter), D3a (Pfatter to A92 at ISAR) and D3b (converter area ISAR). This tender includes the implementation of the species protection avoidance measures in Section D1. The subject of the tender is species protection law Avoidance measures of the planning approval section D1, which are intended to prevent the occurrence of the prohibited items (especially ban on killing and disturbing) of §44 BNatSchG. These are set out in the planning approval documents for the Suedostlink project and must therefore generally be carried out before and/or implemented during the actual work and then dismantled.
