Description : The NDC project aims at supporting the Tunisian Ministry of Environment and relevant sectoral stakeholders in strengthening the capacities for the NDC implementation. The project focuses on four components:

1) enhancement of the institutional and strategic framework;

2) establishing a transparency framework and enhancing MRV systems at sectoral level;

3) enhancing the climate finance architecture;

4) supporting Tunisia in the climate negotiations and promoting regional exchange.

The project is implemented by GIZ and financed by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) with a duration from July 2019 until June 2023. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Tunisian Ministry of Environment and the National Agency for Energy Conservation (ANME). The project has a focus on climate change mitigation aspects. This tender concerns component 1 which aims at strengthening the strategic framework for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and encompasses, as one core activity, the elaboration of a long-term low-emission strategy.
