The research project aims to quantify the number and distribution of jobs in Germany at the municipal and district level in order to support the regulations for protection against radon in workplaces in accordance with the Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG). The current state of knowledge shows that comprehensive, differentiated information about the number of workplaces, especially in radon prevention areas and on basement and ground floors, is incomplete. The term “workplace” is defined differently in different domains, making data fusion difficult. The research approach includes the development of statistical models that use existing data sources and complementary data collection.
