Tender Details

The project pursues two goals: First, through a survey about the risk perception of low -frequency electrical, magnetic and high -frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) in Germany, compared to other countries by means of a "risk ranking", including further health risks. This affects past studies by the Eurobarometer and the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BFS). This survey is carried out in cooperation with Japan, Poland and possibly other countries, and the survey instrument has already been agreed on the basis of a “memorandum of understanding”. Second, taking into account the current relevant intercultural risk perception research and by means of the collection and analysis of contextual-institutional factors at the meso and macro level (including EMF regulatories, relevant regulations, skepticism of technology, risk culture of the respective countries) "Cultural risk ranking relation" are analyzed.
