26D61002_Bundespolizei Bad Düben - structural planning - renovation of 2 multi-purpose buildings Structural planning The BPOLABT BDÜ, a multifunctional operational unit of the Federal Riot Police Directorate (BPOLD BP) in the internal security system in the Federal Republic Germany carries out extensive, diverse police and special police tasks, primarily in the areas of border protection, railway police and aviation security. The considerable range of tasks also includes, at the request of the Federal states, strengthening the state police in dealing with large-scale operations, supporting other federal authorities (e.g. BKA, BZV), supporting the AA in carrying out protective tasks at home and abroad, as well as providing assistance in the event of disasters (e.g. floods, snow disasters). The Federal Police needs to accommodate 4 operational units (EHu), which are to be housed in buildings 17 and 18. Buildings 17 and 18 were built in 1973 as a reinforced concrete structure Built as a standardized four-storey VGB storey construction without a basement. Both buildings stand parallel next to each other. Building 17 is identical to building 18, it has only been rotated by 180°.
