The State Sports Association for Saarland (LSVS for short) is the umbrella organization of Saarland sports, which is currently concentrated in 1, 938 sports clubs and 52 specialist sports associations. With currently around 370, 000 members, the LSVS is the largest Association of people in Saarland. It is one of 16 state sports associations in Germany that belongs to the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). The LSVS is a legal entity under public law based in Saarbrücken.
