Insurance for the construction project of the new HYROW (Hydrogen Rostock-Wrangelsburg) pipeline As part of the HYROW (Hydrogen Rostock-Wrangelsburg) project, GASCADE is planning to build a new approximately 115 km long hydrogen pipeline (DN 1000) between the industrial port Rostock and the existing long-distance pipeline network in the Wrangelsburg area. The project is part of the German hydrogen core network. The construction is mainly carried out using an open construction method. There are also various trenchless crossing methods intended, in particular HDD and microtunneling processes. The planned start of construction is scheduled for August 2027 and commissioning at the end of 2028. The current project volume is around EUR 400 million. To prepare for the procurement of assembly insurance GASCADE carries out a non-binding market consultation. The aim of the market research is in particular to determine the existing market interest, the available insurance capacities and the usual market conditions for insuring the project. The insights gained will be taken into account when determining the further procurement strategy and choosing the award procedure.
