The Port is seeking a Proposer with proven expertise and extensive experience in the following areas: - Processing employment documents and being the employer of record for all Interns. - Performing outreach in support of public sector internship programs. - Advancing the payment of wages to Interns and advancing payment to various vendors used for Internship activities and events. - Providing a detailed budget and expense report prior to program start date. - Advancing the bi-weekly payment of Intern wages to include the printing of paychecks (hourly wages for the Interns will be determined by the internship manager). - Ensure that worker-s compensation, unemployment, and other required insurance protections are included in Intern checks. - Work in conjunction with the public sector staff to ensure that program expenses associated with program activities and events are paid; this includes up front and invoiced payments. - Knowledge and expertise in the management of youth programs, mentoring for students, and managing funds such as payroll administration, program expenses, and monthly invoices for minors hired for seasonal internships.
