AMENDMENT 01
The following addendum is issued for Request for Quotation: 369006_X-Ray_Imaging_Detector_System.
This amendment provides answers to supplier questions and clarifies the technical requirements and competition basis. This amendment must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all amendments may make a proposal non-responsive. Suppliers shall confirm whether their previously submitted proposal remains unchanged. If the clarification results in a change, please submit a revised proposal.
All other terms and conditions of the Request for Quotation remain unchanged.
Supplier Questions and SLAC Responses
1. Is the detector intended for an industrial application or for research use, specifically X-ray diffraction?
SLAC Response: The detector is intended for X-ray diffraction research.
2. Is this purchase replacing an existing detector? If yes, please provide the current detector model and original serial number so suppliers can confirm compatibility.
SLAC Response: This purchase is not replacing an existing detector. However, part of the detector's purpose is to serve as a direct backup for LCLS, as needed, to reduce the risk of beamtime loss. The detector currently integrated for this application is the Varex XRD 4343CT-F22-C-000 Imaging Grade detector.
3. The solicitation states that the detector must be applicable for hard and high-energy X-ray diffraction greater than 20 keV. What operating energy range and shielding level are required for the intended appli...
