General Procurement Notice for Works for the Rehabilitation of the Tirana - Durres Railway Line and Construction of a New Rail Link to Tirana International Airport “Mother Theresa” (Currently Prequalification Process being Completed), Consultancy Services for the Supervision of Works & Consultancy Services for Track Access Charges.

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from, or Grant administered by, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (`the Bank`) for the above named project. Additional financing details are as follows:

a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank), Grant administered by the Bank, Co-financed, from Client`s own funds towards the cost of the above named project
EBRD EUR 36.8 mil
EU WBIF EUR 40.7 mil
Government of Albania EUR 16.1 mil
Italy Central European Initiative EUR 0.5 mil
EBRD Special Shareholders Fund 0.4 mil

The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of 94, 525, 000.00 EUR, will require the procurement of the following:

· The Project has a total estimated cost of EUR 90.3 million and will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:

-Works for the rehabilitation of the Tirana - Durres railway line and construction of a new rail link to Tirana International Airport “Mother Theresa” (currently prequalification process being completed) ;
- Consultancy Services for the Supervision of Works.
- Consultancy Services for Track Access Charges





Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin on 26/06/2019.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from/ grant administered by the Bank will be open to firms from any country.


The proceeds of the loan from, or Grant administered by, the Bank will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of the Client`s country.
