The service uses approximately 780, 000 litres of fuel annually across both vessels. Woolwich Ferry operates two ferries linking Woolwich and North Woolwich across the Thames. The ferry is a free service and the vessels used carry pedestrians, cyclists, cars, vans and lorries. TfL are considering a number of fuel types. Alongside the Low-Sulphur Distillate Oil (LSDO), TfL are also considering alternate fuel types subject to specification/standards development and vessel suitability.
