"Winter maintenance of streets, boulevards, sidewalks, underpasses, overpasses, MGT stops and other places for public use on the territory of the Municipality of Dobrich" Winter maintenance activities are performed in the period from 01 November to 10 April, depending on weather conditions, and may be carried out earlier or later than this period. Winter maintenance covers the municipal street network, municipal roads (specified in the Technical Specification), sidewalks, subways, overpasses, MGT stops and other places for public use, as well as removal of icicles from bridge facilities on the territory of the Municipality of Dobrich. It includes preparatory works: inspections of the machinery and equipment requested for use by the Contracting Authority, provision of the necessary materials, transportation of crates and placement of piles of aggregates in certain places, etc.; snow removal (patrol and periodic) on the streets to achieve the appropriate degree and level of winter maintenance, removal of compacted snow and ice layers; dispersal of mineral materials and chemical substances, collection and transmission of information about the condition of the street network, provision of on-duty duty during non-working hours and on-duty duty on holidays and weekends during the winter period. Prioritize performs snow removal on the streets, and the routes are determined according to the general scheme of the urban transport lines and streets with intensive traffic, described in the Technical Specification.
