Tender Details

The complex is located at 60 Westmount Road West in Kitchener, Ontario. The complex consists of 33 two-storey (plus basement) dwelling units arranged into four (4) distinct townhouse blocks. The vast majority of unit windows are to be replaced, along with most of the front and rear entrance doors. The purpose of the window replacement project is to maintain property standards, improve building aesthetics and occupant comfort by correcting air and water leakage problems and by improving thermal performance.
The existing window assemblies consist of a combination of vinyl-framed windows and aluminum windows with capped wood frames. It is assumed that the aluminum/wood-framed windows are original to construction (circa 1988). These vinyl windows are inserts within the original capped wood frames. Window configurations are a combination of fixed, vertical sliders, and horizontal sliders. Basement windows typically consist of aluminum framed horizontal slider windows set within a cast-in-place steel frame. Rear patio door is a single swing-type door assembly original to the buildings.
