Tender are invited for Whole Body X-Ray Security Screening System

Project Description : The City requires advanced imaging technology full-body scanner to assist EPS in preventing the entry of contraband by detainees. EPS intends to scan each detainee upon arrival. The scanner must meet EPS security and safety operational and facility requirements. The scanner technology must have the full capacity to detect contraband on a person if concealed in the body or externally on the body metallic and non-metallic items such as, but not limited to: drugs (hard and soft), weapons (knives, razors etc.), needles, hand cuff keys, tobacco, rolling papers, glass etc. The scanner must safely detect and identify concealed contraband: externally (in clothes and shoes) and internally (in a body cavity or ingested).The scanner technology must assist EPS in identifying concealed materials on a detainee and any lawfully detained materials may serve as evidence in a court situation. To meet its legal and operational requirements, EPS will only consider full-body scanner technology that complies with applicable federal and provincial laws.
