The RMOW is inviting qualified teams to provide design-build proposals for a new clear span cable suspension bridge to replace an existing timber recreation bridge located over Wedge Ck. This bridge is a key part of the Comfortably Numb Trail in Whistler BC. The existing 22m log stringer bridge, has reached its end of life and requires removal and replacement with a new long lasting and low maintenance, cable suspension bridge. Proponents are encouraged to align their designs with the areas recreational use and natural site characteristics while ensuring the efficiency of construction is well understood and managed within the constraints of the topography and access.
