West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is currently reviewing its on-site facilities for the delivery and management of public meetings to improve accessibility for members, and visibility to the public, in advance of proposed legislative changes to meeting protocols, as directed by the UK Government's recent consultation on remote attendance and proxy voting in local government. Through conducting this pre-market engagement, WMCA is seeking to gain a better understanding of the systems and services currently in the marketplace to provide quality webcasting services for local authority meetings, including the ability to manage proxy voting and to accommodate accessibility requirements.
