Canton Zurich Water Commissioner
With the “Diverse Zurich Waters” program (hereinafter VZG), the Canton of Zurich promotes the biological diversity of streams and ponds and improves their ecosystems. Natural design and care should create valuable habitats for animals and plants. In order to implement requests from the VZG program, the AWEL hydraulic engineering department relies on expert external support from the so-called water bodies (hereinafter referred to as GB). The GB are the operational link between applicants, cantonal specialist offices and the VZG program management of the AWEL (hereinafter PL). They take on all preparatory work in the application process so that the final assessment by the PL can be carried out with minimal effort. You accompany the projects throughout the duration of the project right up to project completion (request for payment). The details of the service to be provided by the GB can be found in the water commissioner's specifications as part of the tender documents and in the framework contract to be concluded with the tender recipients.
