This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by Parkland County (the “County”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for services to desludge up to 3 anaerobic cells of a wastewater lagoon in Wabamun, Alberta, NE 23-53-4-W5, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). Parkland County is a rural municipality located immediately west of Edmonton. Covering an area of 242, 595 hectares (599, 500 acres), it is one of the largest in size and one of the highest populated of all rural municipalities in Alberta. Parkland County has grown to a community of over 30, 000 people and has seen generations of families continue to enjoy country living.The Wabamun wastewater lagoon has 4 anaerobic cells, with 2 of the cells 76% and 78% full of sludge and needing to be desludged. A third cell is 33% full of sludge and will be considered as a provisional item in the RFQ. The full completion of the project must be done in 2024 and the only means of desludging will be through centrifuging.
