VR solution for training and simulation in Harstad municipality's health centre Background Harstad municipality is establishing a new health center where large parts of the municipality's health and care services are brought together. In connection with the health center, a training and simulation center which will support systematic skills development and training across services and actors. The municipality has an increasing need for competence and meets new competence requirements. At the same time, there is a need for safe and effective simulation of acute events and other risk-prone situations, without burdening patients or ordinary operations. VR technology is considered as a tool to strengthen the quality, frequency and availability of training. The training and simulation center is a collaboration between Harstad municipality, UNN, UiT Harstad and relevant emergency response actors. The municipality needs a joint training platform that facilitates interdisciplinary cooperation and more standardized implementation. Kvæfjord municipality must enter into its own contract in relation to its needs. Estimated value Harstad municipality NOK 750, 000. Estimated value Kvæfjord municipality NOK 450, 000. Description of the assignment The assignment includes the delivery of a complete and scalable VR solution for training and simulation to Harstad municipality's training and simulation center in the health center, with the possibility of use also outside the services if necessary.
