Description : RFP 20-1677 - Supply and Delivery of an Augmented or Virtual Reality Solution for Fire Safety Education The City of Calgary (The City), on behalf of the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) is seeking Proposals that are able to provide fire safety education software using a Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) solution consisting of five (5) VR/AR headsets as well as a software version that can be used by a single screen mobile computing device such as a laptop or tablet. Solution will be used by citizens with the assistance of CFD staff in conducting fire safety education and teaching realistic, crucial fire safety skills at Calgary schools as well as other venues such as senior citizen living facilities. The users of the VR/AR solution are expected to be children between eight (8) and twelve (12) years of age, senior citizens, people who speak English as a second language, or other sectors of the population vulnerable to fire incidents. Users will be immersed in a fire scene (i.e. kitchen fire, bedroom fire, etc.), and will be guided through the experience by on screen decision prompts in multiple language options or by a CFD ...
