The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) currently manages a centralizedstatistical and reporting database, along with 21 other specialized databases.The centralized statistical and reporting database is the largest and is sharedby various units of the SBV. This database collects data periodically andregularly from multiple internal and external sources. As banking servicescontinue to expand and diversify, coupled with the emergence of new financialtechnology products and services, there is an increasing need for a more robustdatabase system. The new system's architecture is expected to follow bestpractices and principles of Big Data design, encompassing the entire datamanagement lifecycle: from data collection, validation, and cleansing, throughprocessing, storage, and analytics, to visualization, sharing, dissemination, and archiving.The World Bank is seeking a consulting firm with strong qualificationsand a solid reputation to assist the SBV in developing a report assessing andevaluating the current status of the SBV's specialized banking statistical andreporting database as a basis for recommending a suitable Big Data architecturefor SBV in the coming time and moving towards connecting and unifying with thenational database.KeydeliverablesCurrent State Assessment Report: an evaluation of the SBV's specializedbanking statistical and reporting database.Recommendation Report: a high-level Big Data architecture for SBV, alongwith an implementation roadmap.
