The coast guard s overall requirement is a reliable and sustainable (5 years minimum service life, all logistics elements addressed) radial flow centrifugal pump, with a discharge flow rate of 30 gallons per minute and discharge pressure of 225 pounds per square inch gage using a 3 horsepower, 440 volt, 60 hertz ac powered prime mover within the same ‘footprint (size, weight) as the equipment being replaced.
