This approach places an undue burden on staff, exposes sensitive personal credentials, is labor‑intensive, and is prone to human error. As vendor information becomes more publicly accessible, this process has also become increasingly vulnerable to external fraud attempts. To strengthen internal controls and reduce fraud risk, the County seeks to implement a vendor verification solution that securely validates vendor identity, confirms vendor eligibility to conduct business, and verifies banking information. This solution will improve accuracy, increase efficiency, ensure consistency, and provide a more reliable and compliant framework for vendor onboarding and maintenance.
