The city's technical operation maps the market existing vehicle and machinery tracking systems. The object of monitoring are the city's own vehicles and work machines, which are used e.g. in the maintenance of streets and areas (winter maintenance, sandblasting, brushing, maintenance of green areas) and in property management. The monitoring also creates an electronic driving log. The city currently uses a vehicle tracking system. The goal is to find a solution that is as simple and easy to use as possible for the staff, so that the system will be truly utilized in daily work. Preliminary scope: permanently installed GPS positioning devices for approximately 40 vehicles and work machines, as well as a browser-based map monitoring and reporting service.
