Description:
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with MTech Aerospace (CAGE Code 6Q237) for the acquisition of two (2) P/N: MT24007001K-001 Wide Band SATCOM (WBSC) Maintenance Stand Assemblies, two (2) P/N: MT24007800A-001 Right Hand Transport Pallets, and eight (8) P/N: MT24007800A-003 Left Hand Transport Pallets for the United States Navy (USN) P-8A Poseidon Program.
The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii)(A) states supplies may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
