The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) located in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking information in support of market research being conducted, on how capable and interested parties could supply a Telescope Backup Camera with the required salient characteristics.
Salient Characteristics:
Astronomical Camera
- Scientific/research grade
- Focal plane of 44 mm x 33 mm or larger
- Monochrome (not color)
- Prefer Ethernet connectivity (gigabit/sec transfer rate)
- 16 bit images
- Greater than 80 megapixels
- Sony IMX461 sensor chip is preferred
