We are looking for proposals for a broadcast system upgrade for Urbana City Hall located at 400 S Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. The request is for the replacement and upgrade of select components in an existing broadcast system with an all-in-one cable television broadcast, web, mobile and OTT video server and streaming service and must include integration, installation, and support of components. This system will replace an existing Leightronix Ultra Nexus-HD x5 system with 5TB of storage and both HD and SD output. The new broadcast system must integrate with our existing closed-caption and Vizrt Tricaster systems. The selected product must include functionality to live stream video both to traditional cable and satellite TV providers, but also over the internet via the City website and to the major application platforms including iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV. The system should also be capable of video on demand for streaming of recorded videos. Additionally, while the City will store video files on-site the selected product must include some level of cloud-based content hosting to reduce bandwidth requirements for streaming video content. Pricing options for 1-, 2-, and 3-year maintenance agreements for the cloud-based services should be provided.Ongoing support for the system must be included. Hardware should be warrantied and supported for a minimum of three years, five is preferred, including software security updates. Support hours for training staff on the use of the new system should also be included. The ability to expand storage in the future should the need arise is also a benefit.
