Upgrading of the multi-purpose facility at Spangereid
Today's facilities have varying quality and a limited period of use throughout large parts of the year, which results in reduced functionality for schools, sports teams and other users. The purpose of the procurement is to establish a robust and comprehensive facility that provides increased capacity, more predictable operation and better arrangements for year-round activity. The facility will meet the needs of children, young people and organized sports teams, and at the same time work well for everyday school use. The municipality emphasizes solutions that provide smooth and durable use surfaces, good lighting, safe access and low operating and maintenance costs over time. It is also important that the facility gets lasting and appropriate solutions for stormwater management and adaptation to existing terrain. The procurement must be carried out in an area where a school is in normal operation. The supplier must therefore take account of a construction implementation with particular attention to safety, clear shielding, safe access and good logistics for site traffic and mass transport.
