Banedanmark is preparing a procurement of two single-phase traction transformers for the railway power supply at Kassø substation in southern Denmark. The units will replace two existing transformers in connection with Energinet's reconstruction of the 150 kV substation, which raises the short-circuit level of the substation. Indicative main parameters: single-phase traction transformer, approximately 23 MVA, 150 kV system (Um 170 kV) to 27.5 kV, outdoor installation, on-load tap changer on the high voltage side. The cooling method is being clarified. The parameters are preliminary and may change. The procurement is expected to cover the complete delivery, that is the transformers including transport, installation, site testing and commissioning. The final scope will be set out in the tender documents. Delivery is expected during 2028. The final delivery date will be set out in the tender documents. Prior to the procurement, Banedanmark will conduct a market dialogue with relevant suppliers in order to establish lead times, technical feasibility and commercial terms.
