Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) reported the Social Care Planned Procurement 2026-27 and Commissioning Development Plan at the Glasgow City Integrated Joint Board Meeting in November 2025 (Item 8) (Please see the Additional Document which contains the link to this report)The procurement plan advised that in relation to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Accommodation and Support Services 'Preliminary procurement notices are due to be published in the Spring of 2026.'In update to this report GCHSCP can advise that the Strategic Commissioning and Programmes Team is in the process of planning pre-procurement market engagement and consultation for UASC services.Further to this, the intended procurement plan is outlined below -Consultation with the market - July to September 2026Tender Live - Feb to March 2027Contract Award- July to September 2027Implementation period - October 2027 to February 2028Services start date - 1 March 2028Exact dates for the procurement stages will be notified to the market as the timeline is finalised.UASC services comprise accommodation and/or support services delivered collaboratively, including orientation and early support for asylum-seeking young people.
