Synopsis: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a new service requirement for the engineer and design, fabrication, test, and installation of Ultraviolet (UV) Ballast Water Treatment System(s) (BWTS) onboard U.S. Navy surface vessels. Attached to this notice is a 1) Market Research Questionnaire, 2) Draft Navy BWTS Specifications, 3) NAVSEA Hazardous Material Avoidance Process, Design Practices and Criteria Manual, and 4) Navy BWTS Conformance Checklist. Industry is asked to review, complete to the best of your ability, and submit the market research Questionnaire and BWTS Conformance Checklist with comments, by 3 December 2018 at 1400 EST. All questions must be received no later than 21 November 2018 at 1200 PM EST. All questions and corresponding answers will be posted in an Excel Workbook by 1500 PM EST on the following days; 8 November 2018; 15 November 2018; 21 November 2018; and 29 November 2018. The last date answers will be posted to FBO will be 29 November 2018. The questions must be received via email to shelby.o`neill@navy.mil by 1200 PM EST on the following days; 6 November 2018; 13 November 2018; 20 November 2018; and 27 November 2018.
