Dla troop support, subsistence directorate, operational rations ist group rations team intends to solicit request for proposal spe3s1-19-r-0001 to establish an indefinite quantity tiered, five year firm fixed-price contract with an economic price adjustment to provide continued supply of the ultra high temperature milk. This acquisition is unrestricted and low price technically accepted (lpta) is the source selection method. Dla troop support will evaluate price, past performance and product samples. All responsible sources may submit proposals which will be considered by dla troop support.

The uht milk is used by the armed forces as a mandatory supplement and/or enhancement for operational ration feeding during operations which do not have refrigeration capability or have very limited capability. It is used in situations that do not permit resupply of perishable foods. The item is shelf stable milk provided in 6 flavors: low fat banana (8910-01-584-0787), low fat chocolate (8910-01-474-2621), low fat strawberry (8910-01-474-2680), low fat white (8910-01-474-2623), whole chocolate (8910-01-474-2648) and whole white (8910-01-474-2661). The unit of issue for this item is a box containing 27 8-ounce containers.

Delivery destinations and quantities will be provided via delivery orders issued on an as needed basis.
