Two inductively coupled plasma (ICP) instruments for the mass spectrometry and elemental analysis platform EPFL plans to acquire two inductively coupled plasma (ICP) instruments for the mass spectrometry and analysis platform elementary of the ISIC (ISIC-MSEAP) of the Faculty of Basic Sciences (SB). The equipment will be installed on the ISIC Valais-Wallis site of EPFL in Sion, where cutting-edge research is carried out at the intersection of renewable energies, chemistry sustainable, materials chemistry as well as analytical chemistry. The institute houses five research laboratories led by ISIC-affiliated professors on EPFL's main campus in Lausanne and welcomes a community of researchers who can reach 200 people, including master's students, doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and associated researchers. Inductively coupled plasma (ICP) techniques - ICP-MS(/MS) and ICP-OES - are analytical tools essential to our mission, enabling high sensitivity multi-element analyzes on a wide range of material samples and complex matrices. These capabilities are essential not only in chemistry, but also for research laboratories in the health sciences. life, in environmental science and materials sciences at EPFL.
