Turku Raitiotie Oy is building a depot and the first phase of the tramway between Satama-Keskusta-Varissuo. The client is Turku Raitiotie Oy and the City of Turku.
This is a project for the design and construction of a new tramway, which includes, among other things, the design of the tramway and depot operationsand construction as well as related road and street arrangements as well as cable and equipment transfers. In addition, a significant amount of archaeological research will be carried out along the tram line. The planning and construction of the tramway system involves other street and municipal engineering planning andconstruction on an appropriate scale.
The project is implemented using a cooperative alliance model, in the first phase of which the alliance produces the documents necessary for the investment decision on the first phase of the Turku Railway and the depot (implementation planning phase). The investment decision is tthe aim is to do 12/2025, after which the Client decides to move to construction preparation.
