The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services (OAGS), is issuing this sources sought announcement on behalf of the Office of Laboratory Operations and Applied Science (OLOAS), Office of Applied Microbiology and Technology (OAMT), to:

a) identify vendors capable of providing the equipment and service as detailed in this notice, and

Background

The FDA requires a Triple Quadrupole (TQ) Absolute xR Mass Spectrophotometer to support the mission of the Human Foods Program (HFP), including produce safety and the emerging chemicals of concern program. This instrument will enable precise detection and quantification of emerging chemical contaminants, such as PFAS and toxic elements, in soil, produce, and agricultural water. It will also assist in evaluating the bioavailability and migration of these contaminants into food sources.
