Description: This is a pre -ad about upcoming procurement.
On behalf of the regional public transport authority in Västra Götaland (RKM), Västtrafik AB intends to procure train traffic with traffic start in 2025 with the term "train 2025 Västtågen". Planned to be included are commuter train lines and regional lines in Western Sweden.
The procurement will take place provided that decisions on public transport are made by RKM. The decision will be preceded by consultation with stakeholders.
Västtrafik intends to start the tender procedure during the summer/autumn 2023. The traffic today comprises a total of 113 tour vehicles and is performed approximately 20.2 million trips per year according to the current agreement.
West traffic provides vehicles. The procurement includes operation and some maintenance of the vehicles.
