Description : TOWN OF KENTVILLE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION INVITATION TO TENDER TRAIL BRIDGE SURFACE REPLACEMENT #1 TRAIL BRIDGE SURFACE REPLACEMENT #2 Issue Date: September 26, 2022 Closing Date: October 10, 2022 Closing Time: 12:00pm Scope of Work: Bridge Replacement #1: • The bridge is a pre-existing rail bridge with lumber added for the surface • Remove existing surface from bridge (lumber) • Replace existing surface with hemlock wood planks long. • Planks to be placed across the width of the bridge and not placed with traffic. • The bridge requires a concrete slab leading to both sides of the bridge. This will ensure that all persons participating on the trails have access to the bridge. This will include a slight slop to allow the ramp to be level with the bridge. The slope should begin at least 6 feet from the beginning of the bridge • Supply and install fasteners for the installation of the hemlock wood planks • The length of the bridge is approximately 56 feet by 16 feet wide Bridge Replacement #2: • Project is located slightly west of the bridge replacement #1 project • Remove existing surface from bridge (lumber) • Replace existing surface with hemlock wood planks, approximately 9 feet wide and 31 feet long.
