PROJECT TITLE: Mode Tour International Travel Mart
30 August- 02 September 20181 Seoul, South Korea
REQUIREMENTS: Cultural Entertainers for the Mode Tour International Travel Mart
BACKGROUND:
The Tourism Promotions Board, in collaboration with the Philippine Department of TourismA- Korea will participate in the annual Mode Tour International Travel Mart on 30 August- 02
September in Seoul, South Korea.
It has been 27 years since Mode Tour Network took a step into the top-quality travel wholesale industry and pioneered the first travel wholesale business in Korea. Mode Tour has overseas branch offices in London, Paris, Tokyo and Beijing. In 2005, Mode Tour Network was registered in KOSDAQ. It was listed as one of fifteen best companies and won the Best CEO prize in 2012. The said travel agency is working with 850 partners nationwide.
Mode Tour Network, Korea's first tour wholesaler in Seoul launched the first Mode Tour International Travel Show in 2014 to challenge its branch offices, land operators, hotels/resorts and NTOs to attract more visitors and generate actual sales through participation in the travel show.
The Philippines' target market of Korea is mainly the Korean family/holiday travellers who are interested in the family theme and unique experiences that cannot be found in Korea though there are other market segments such as golf, dive, honeymoon, ESL, MICE, among others, Mode Tour's Philippine packages are usually for family/holiday travel, golf and honeymoon.
Participation to the event is by invitation of the organizer. Last year, the Philippines was promoted heavily during the event. The Philippine ad and logo were placed in outer wall of the exhibition venue and appeared in Mode Tour's brochure.
The show attracted a total of 73, 800 visitors with 370 exhibitors. The fair generated total sales of KRW 31 billion compared to KRW 22 billion last year. TPB/PDOT's participation in the said mart was covered by 7 media channels which generated a total PR value of KRW 36, 000, 000.
