The veteran s administration (va) office of research and development, program contracting office - east in pittsburgh, pa intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with uhlmann packaging systems l.p. In towaco, nj. The requirement is to provide, ship, and install a two (2) partial toolsets for an uhlmann b-1240 thermal packaging system that is currently in use. These two (2) tooling sets (size #0 and #00) will each consist of six individual, close tolerance fit components identified as an upper forming tool, lower forming tool, guide tracks, upper sealing tool and the lower sealing tool, and perforation tool. The sole source is pursuant to far 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than tuesday, aug 16, 2016, (10:00 am, est). Interest/capability statements may be sent to michael haydo at [email protected]. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The items described in the capabilities statement shall be compatible with the uhlmann b-1240. The requirement characteristics are:
