Description : This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of TICHFIELD PODS CIVIL WORKS, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”). SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan. The description of the work is, in general as noted below: The Proponent shall complete all civil and electrical work associated with the development of a station Site for the installation of a PODS (Portable Outdoor Distribution Station) as required by this specification, and the construction drawings, near an existing SaskPower Station located near the north end of Diefenbaker Lake, south of Outlook, Saskatchewan. The Contractor will be required to work in proximity to existing overhead powerlines of voltages up to 230, 000V, and will require a QEW (Qualified Electrical Worker) to work beneath/near these existing power lines.
