This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Three Year Traffic Counting Program (2026-2028) for The Regional Municipality of Niagara, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
The on-going collection of traffic data by the Region allows for effective use and allocation of capital funds including the installation/upgrades of traffic control devices under Ontario Traffic guidelines and Regional policy. In addition, the data is utilized and scrutinized by many Regional and municipal departments for a variety of other uses (Transportation, Engineering, Maintenance, Fire, Planning, the public, and Councillors).
