Description : Airport Authority (the “Authority”) is currently undertaking the expansion of the Airport into a Three-runway System (3RS) which includes among other things the construction of a new Third Runway Concourse (TRC), expansion of the existing Terminal 2 (T2) into a full service processing terminal and provision of major electrical, mechanical and airport systems. It is anticipated that a significant amount of these works and systems will be manufactured in mainland China. Regular inspections of such works during the manufacturing process are necessary to ensure compliance and good progress.It is anticipated that major items of work to be inspected in mainland factories include the following:(a) Glazed facade(b) External metal wall claddings(c) Roof and other structural steelwork(d) Metal roof covering, skylights and smoke vents(e) Precast concrete elements(f) Bridge bearings and tendons (g) Architectural builder-s works and finishes such as ceilings, doors, louvres, glass, metalwork, etc. (h) E&M and airport system modular and prefabrication installation(i) Major E&M and airport system equipment (factory acceptance tests)(j) Large pipework welding(k) Lifts, escalators and moving walkwaysThe Services to be provided under this Contract incl...
