The Help and Legal Centre of Northumberland (THLCN) is a non-profit charitable organization operating 2 agencies: The Help Centre, a social service agency, and Northumberland Community Legal Centre (NCLC), a community legal clinic mandated under the Legal Aid Services Act to provide legal aid services to low-income and disadvantaged individuals in Northumberland County. The audited financial statements must show the separate financial position of each of the three entities: the corporation, The Help Centre, and NCLC. Total revenue for the three entities for 2024-2025 was approximately $1.5M. All financial records are recorded in SAGE. Some but not all financial transactions are electronic. Records will be provided to the successful proponent in the format in which they are held. PURPOSE OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS and DELIVERABLESTHLCN wishes to retain an independent person or firm to conduct a financial audit for the corporation and both its agencies for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2027.The successful proponent will: Financial Audit: Express an opinion on the annual financial statements for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, including audited financial statement, in the format stipulated by generally accepted accounting standards.
